Built by People
Who've Been on
the Job Site.

TradePlane wasn't designed in a tech office by people who read about construction. It was built by people who've managed crews, walked job sites, and lived the problems it solves.

Domain + Execution.

Field experience, world-class design, and battle-tested engineering. That combination isn't common in construction tech, and it's the reason TradePlane is built differently.

CEO & Founder

From running crews on Turner Construction job sites to delivering $1B+ in industrial development at NorthPoint, Rich has sat in every seat at the table and built TradePlane to solve the problems he lived.

  • 20+ years across general contracting, construction management, owner's rep, development, and consulting, from Turner Construction to NorthPoint Development
  • Delivered $1B+ in industrial development across 5.7M+ SF and 21 large-scale projects, including three 1M SF brownfield developments
  • Managed design, configuration, and installation of structural-mounted medical devices across 50+ healthcare sites in CA, AZ, NM, TX, and NV, navigating strict west coast code requirements as a material and equipment supplier
  • Currently consulting on steel mill construction and renovation projects, among the most complex builds in the industry with heavy mechanical systems, reinforced foundations, and equipment engineered for extreme heat environments
  • Project experience spanning K-12, healthcare, tenant improvement, light manufacturing, cold storage, and automated MHE fitouts
  • LEED AP, PMP, and CSM credentials

The problem we couldn't ignore.

After 20+ years in construction working as a general contractor, construction manager, owner's rep, developer, and consultant, one thing stayed consistent across every project. The drawings are the center of the job. But nothing lets you actually work from them in the field.

Construction professionals spend a massive chunk of their week not doing construction work. They're searching for information, resolving conflicts that shouldn't exist, and chasing down details that should already be in front of them. That's not a technology problem. That's a documentation and information access problem that gets worse the more software you add.

Daily reports are among the most critical project management tools on any job site. They're the contemporaneous record of what happened, who was there, what got done, and why things slowed down. When a dispute surfaces six months later, those records are often the deciding factor. But on most job sites, they're written from memory at the end of a long shift, after details have already blurred. The report that was supposed to protect you becomes vague and incomplete at exactly the wrong moment.

Information fragmentation is the other problem no one has solved at the field level. Which receptacle feeds which circuit? Which panel? The answer exists somewhere in the drawing set, but finding it means flipping through sheets, hunting through email threads, or navigating three different platforms. All for something that should take ten seconds.

Submittals, spec sections, crew logs, RFIs. None of it is tied to the drawing where the work actually happens. The information exists. It's just never where you need it.

TradePlane was built from those specific frustrations. Not from a whiteboard brainstorm about disrupting construction. From years of standing on job sites, watching information get lost between the drawing and the worker holding it, and finally deciding to build what should have existed a long time ago.

Drawings that work as hard as your crews do.

TradePlane turns static construction drawings into live, interactive field execution tools. Everything your team needs, tied to the plans they're already looking at.

Automated Daily Reports

Crew activity compiles into a formatted, GC-ready daily report before end of shift. No more writing from memory. No more chasing foremen.

Device-to-Panel Traceability

Tap any device on the drawing and instantly see its circuit, panel, submittal, and spec section. Answers in seconds, not minutes.

Built for the Field

If your crew can use a smartphone, they can use TradePlane. No training manuals. No IT department. Productive from day one.

Works With Your Existing Stack

TradePlane isn't a replacement. It's the drawing-native field layer that fills the gap where field execution breaks down.
